I am very happy to be joining the staff of OLW. I formerly taught preschool at St. Alphonsus Liguori School in Prospect Heights. While at St. Al’s, I volunteered as a lunch and recess monitor while my children attended, was then hired as a preschool aide for six years, and then worked as a preschool teacher for four years. Catholic education is important to me. Apart from my time at U of I, I attended Catholic schools. I graduated grammar school from St. Eugene and then went on to graduate from Resurrection High School, both in Chicago. My husband and I have been married for 28 years and we have two children. Our older son graduated from Milwaukee School of Engineering in May 2024 with a degree in mechanical engineering. Our younger son is a sophomore at Illinois State University where he is majoring in business and minoring in graphic communications. Working in a Catholic school is a blessing and I look forward to helping our youngest students grow academically, socially, and spiritually throughout the school year.
