I am thrilled to begin my fourth year as a PK-4 teacher and continue the tradition of faith formation and teaching excellence at Our Lady of the Wayside School. Before having my own classroom, I served as a teacher’s aide in PK-3 at OLW. My prior teaching experiences were as a classroom teacher in Community Unit District 220 in Barrington, Illinois, and Community Unit District 200 in Wheaton, Illinois. During these ten years of teaching third grade, I also completed my Master of Education degree in Reading at National-Louis University and gained my Reading Specialist license. For the past eight years, I have been an active parent volunteer and parishioner at Our Lady of the Wayside School and Church. My husband and I live in the community with our three children who either attend currently or have graduated from Our Lady of the Wayside School. I, too, am a product of Catholic education from kindergarten through college, and my seventeen years as a Catholic school student led to innumerable blessings in my life. I value the opportunity to weave religious instruction into all learning endeavors. By connecting the joys of learning with the treasures of our faith, I am eager to nurture a love for learning in the preschoolers at OLW.
