Tragic.
Last night, St. Michael School (Orland Park) teachers Rone Leja (1st pic) & Elizabeth Kosteck were walking to their cars after a Christmas party when they were struck by a hit-and-run driver.
Leja was killed.

#GivingTuesday is here! Give the gift of education with the 2-for-1 matching program through @ChiCathSchools and @EmpowerIL. A $500 donation could easily turn into $1,500 scholarship for a student in need in our archdiocese. Learn more: https://t.co/gOsrPwTuYB

The word #Advent means coming. The Lord is coming. This is the root of our hope: the certainty that God's consolation comes to us amidst the troubles of the world. Not a consolation of words, but of His presence among us.
Taking a break between Black Friday and Cyber Monday? Don't forget #GivingTuesday and take a moment to give back and please support OLW. #thankful
In Intro to Art last week, 4th graders learned about Norman Rockwell and created their own holiday themed Saturday Evening Post cover. Great artists!
Happy Thanksgiving from all our students and staff!
My Kindergarteners getting ready for Thanksgiving! I am thankful and blessed to be your teacher!@olwschoolAH

Last week, 5th graders read Balloons over Broadway and then used iPads to go on virtual tour of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and complete a web-based scavenger hunt. Can you find the answers to these questions before the parade starts tomorrow?
In our lives of faith, seeking God doesn’t often mean quick, clear answers. The path of love can be steep, winding, & harrowing. Remember that those who offer themselves in love to God may wait and only learn gradually but will certainly find peace in God. #AdoredAndLovedBeJesus
