8th GRADE GIRLS' VOLLEYBALL UPDATES!!
- What's their record? The girl's overall record for the season was 13-1. Counting the two tournaments they've had, their record was 25-2.
- St. Thomas Tournament On October 18th, the girls won yet another tournament! They defeated 5 teams in the tournament. They defeated St. Hubert's, St. Zachary's, St. Francis, Queen of the Rosary, and in the championship they played St. Thomas of Villamova to bring home the first place trophy for the second time! Great Job girls!
- Conference Champs! On Thursday, October 30th, the girls had their last conference game against St. Mary's of Buffalo Grove. The girls dominated in the game and became the conference champions! They defeated 15 teams in their conference season and for the girls, they won conference for the second year in a row. Awesome job girls!
- Ending the season on a good note: On Sunday, November 2nd, the girls had their conference championship tournament. The first game they defeated St. Hubert's! The girls were then going to their final Wayside volleyball game in a Wildcat uniform. They played St. Rays. Although earlier in the season they had beaten St. Rays, they didn't seem to have it that night. The girls were defeated for only the second time in their season. Although the girls lost they got second place and had fans that filled the bleachers! The girls had a great season and earned themselves a banner for the gym wall. Way to go girls!!!
