Annual Gala – February 27, 2021

We won’t be together celebrating, eating, drinking, and conversing, but we can still come together to raise funds for our school. Some parts of the Gala are still the same:
– a raffle where everyone has a chance to win
– auction items to bid on – trips, jewelry, kids items, home items, special items, etc. There is something for everyone and every budget.
– Class Projects for the milestone years of Kindergarten, 2nd grade, 5th grade and 8th grade
– creative sign-up parties for kids and adults (they’ll be virtual but still fun)
– a way to make a cash donation.

The Gala website is open now to purchase raffle tickets to win a Peloton Bike Package – tickets are $100.
If you win, the package includes the Peloton bike, delivery, set-up, a six-month Peloton subscription, plus two pairs of shoes, bike weights, workout mat and bike mat, resistance bands, yoga blocks and straps, and two water bottles. That’s a lot!!
You can also bring cash or a check (made payable to OLW FSA) to the school or parish office.
Thank you to Wealth Enhancement Group (school family and parishioners – Siewert and Meehan families) for this raffle donation.

Creating an account through the Gala website is easy and gives you access to this raffle plus all the silent auction items that are currently being organized. They will be available for viewing starting the Sunday, February 21.

One exciting auction item to think about is a Galena Getaway, where you can stay with family or friends for four days in the comfort of a fully and comfortably furnished 3 bedroom, 3 full bath townhome with 2 wood-burning fireplaces and 2 patio decks. This townhome has beds to sleep six. This package is donated by parishioners, Mary Anne and Bob Galvanoni.

We are so grateful for those in our school and parish community who have sponsored and donated to support the Gala.

The Gala proceeds help fund the services of a licensed school counselor; reimbursements to teachers for classroom expenses and professional development; the cost of field trips, cultural assemblies, and special days for students; continuously updating technology in the classroom, among many other resources for students and teachers. These are just a few examples of how important your donations are towards the success of our students. The Gala will not look the same this year, but we will still celebrate our school community. We will focus our efforts so that we help give our children the best educational experience possible. While our dedicated families work together toward achieving this goal, we also ask for help and support from local businesses and individuals within our community. The money raised at the Gala is used to fund vital Family & School Association programs that support the students, teachers, and the Annual Fund. These funds are heavily relied upon to support the school’s mission statement to enrich our students’ minds, foster a deep and meaningful faith in each child, and expand their talents.
