Hi! I am Julie Okulanis, a 3rd grade teacher at Our Lady of the Wayside School, who has been a teacher for 15 years. I have had experience teaching 3rd, 5th, and 6th grades. I have spent seven of those years at O.L.W. teaching 3rd grade. I have obtained my undergraduate degree from Elmhurst College and my graduate degree from St. Xavier University in Chicago. I have been married for eight years and have two children.

My goal is to help each child grow mentally, spiritually, physically, and socially while practicing the Golden Rule on a daily basis. I believe that if each student is empowered, has freedom, a strong sense of community, and has fun during the learning process; then, they will be very successful in life!
