My favorite grade to teach is Second Grade. It is a very important year as we prepare the students for the sacraments of Reconciliation and First Communion. The students have a busy year learning cursive, reading interesting stories and becoming more independent learners.

The most important rule of second grade is to treat others the way you would like to be treated. We encourage friendship and kindness everyday. Try to think about what Jesus would do.

My family and I are members of the parish and I am very happy to be teaching at OLW. I have taught at two other Chicago Catholic schools in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades. I think that this is the best job and I have wanted to be a teacher as long as I can remember. I am very lucky to have such a great and entertaining job.
