I was born and raised in Chicago. I graduated from St. Juliana's and then Resurrection High School. I started my college life at Wright Jr. College in Chicago, then onto Oakton Community College and Harper Jr. College. All of these colleges I attended in the evenings after work. At this time I was very much into my career which was banking and mortgage banking.

I continued in my mortgage banking career until my oldest son was about 4 years old and my twins were about 2 1/2 years old. Then I made the decision to change careers and go back to school full time to get my teaching degree. When I graduated from NEIU I taught in Chicago in a ESL program. From there I went to St. Jame's Jr. High in Arlington Heights and taught 7th and 8th grade social studies. Being here now I am teaching 6th grade religion, math, language arts, and reading and 7th grade social studies
