Welcome!!!
The goal of the fifth grade program is to help develop leadership and interpersonal skills, provide academic challenges in all curriculum areas, as well as foster spirituality and community to insure a successful transition from elementary school to middle school.
Fifth Grade Social Studies
We study the United States past and present. We learn about past events and the places those events occurred. We read about people who helped shape our country. We see how people work together to meet their needs and wants and to govern themselves. We learn what it means to be a citizen of the United States.
Throughout the year, fifth graders work on a variety of projects to enhance their learning:
- Native American Project
- Veterans’ Day Tribute
- State Project
- Famous Women Report
- Immigration Experience
