WEDNESDAY, MAY 21: HONOR BAND FIELD TRIP TO FIELD MUSEUM
There will be no morning band lessons for beginning band
- The Honor band will depart for the Field Museum at 8:45 A.M. Band members should wear khaki pants (no shorts) and blue band shirts; no gym shoes.
- They may bring a bag lunch or money to buy lunch. They will be eating in the museum cafeteria. They will return in time for regular dismissal.
- Parent chaperones are: Mrs. McDonnell, Mallof, Rasche, O'Neill and Mr. & Mrs. Zondlo.
- The band will be performing at the Great Hall of the museum at 11:00 am.
THURSDAY, MAY 22
7:14 A.M. Parade Band Practice for all bands
There will be regular sm. group lessons for concert band during the school day
FRIDAY, MAY 23
7:15 AM Parade Band Practice for all bands
There will be regular sm. group lessons for honor band during the school day
MONDAY, MAY 26 ----------------MEMORIAL DAY PARADE
- Band students who are marching in the parade should arrive at station #27 along Sigwalt/Davis Street (east of Arl. Hts. Rd) at 9:00 A.M. (no later). We need to get organized before the parade begins at 9:30 A.M.
- Parade attire: Please wear khaki pants/capris, your blue band shirt and gym shoes. NO SHORTS.
- Parents: Please meet/pick up your child at the end of the parade route (Memorial Park). The band will not be staying for the ceremony after the parade so please be there early to meet your child. Look for the blue and white Wayside golf umbrellas to find us.
- Parade Chaperones: Please arrive at the same time as your band student (9:00 A.M.). Chaperones are to stay with the students until the end of the parade. If you have not been contacted to be a chaperone, but would like to volunteer, please call Dede Mallof at 847-368-1815.
