My husband Dan and I have been parishioners here at Wayside since 1997.  Our four children are proud alumni of Wayside: Caitlin (’10), Stephanie (’13), Emily (’14), and Andrew (’16).  I am blessed to be able to teach in my parish and share my faith with so many wonderful students.

Currently, I am the school’s technology coordinator. I am the moderator of the school’s First Lego League Robotics Club, and I also work with 7th grade students preparing them for the IJAS science fair. The following statements summarize my overall philosophy of teaching.

  • Challenge student to think independently. I ty to create an environment where students think critically.
  • Make yourself available to students by helping with extra-curricular activities.  I learn so much more about students when I work with them outside of the classroom.
  • Learn from your students. I let students share and explain new and interesting ideas.  Especially in technology, students are so knowledgeable and have much information to share. I enjoy learning together with my students.
  • Never stop learning. I continue to educate myself and stay current with new technologies, concepts, ideas, and teaching tools.
